Bayern Munich chief executive Oliver Khan has reiterated that the club will not be signing Cristiano Ronaldo despite the exit of Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona.
The 37-year-old wants to leave Manchester United this summer after the Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League and is hoping to secure a move away from Old Trafford if they receive a satisfactory offer for his services. Ronaldo scored 24 goals in 38 matches last season - including 18 in the Premier League as he finished as the third top scorer behind Mohamed Salah and Heung min-Son.
Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern have been linked with the Portuguese superstar, but it seems as though all of those teams have ruled themselves out of a move for the player. Thomas Tuchel admires Ronaldo but does not think he will suit their style of football, while Los Blancos are searching for a younger forward to play back-up for Karim Benzema, who is entering the twilight of his career.
Now, the German giants are no longer interested in Ronaldo after Kahn revealed he would not suit their ideas. Julian Nagelsmann has tried to implement a high amount of positional freedom, fluctuation and rotation across their forward line - and it is something Ronaldo may struggle to adapt to.
Kahn told BILD: "I love Cristiano Ronaldo, fantastic player but every club has a philosophy and I'm not sure if it would be the right signal for Bayern and Bundesliga if we signed him now. Such a move does not necessarily fit with our ideas."

Bayern could still be looking to sign another striker in the transfer window after Lewandowski completed his move to Barcelona. The Poland international scored 50 goals in 46 matches last season - a record beaten by no one across the top five leagues in Europe. It took his tally to 248 for Bayern after joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2014.
No player has a Champions League record as impressive as Lewandowski. He had won a competition record 22 consecutive matches in which he had featured for Bayern, prior to the Round of 16 first-leg draw away to Salzburg. While last season’s quarter final loss against Villarreal was his first defeat in 25 games in the competition. Despite him bagging 13 goals in last season’s competition – Bayern could not do enough to advance to the semi-finals.
Now he has departed the Bavarian giants to join Barca, where he has replaced Lionel Messi as the superstar attacking player. The two have battled for multiple individual awards over the past 12 months and Lewandowski is now aiming to replace Messi's status at the Camp Nou.
