Bayern Munich chief executive Oliver Kahn addresses transfer interest in Harry Kane: ‘Let’s see what happens’

Bayern Munich chief executive Oliver Kahn has addressed the club's interest in Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Kane has been linked with a move away from Spurs for some time and publically angled for a transfer to Manchester City last summer only to end up staying put. Standard Sport understands Kane is open to discussing a new contract with the club.

Bayern have been credited with interest this summer having lost Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona, but Kahn was coy when asked if the German giants could make a move this summer or next.

"He is under contract at Tottenham," he told Bild. "Sure, he is an absolute top striker, but that's all a dream of the future.

"So let's see what happens."

Cristiano Ronaldo who has been linked with a move to Bayern, but Kahn insists there is no interest on their side at the moment.

He continued: "I love Cristiano Ronaldo and everyone knows what a fantastic player he is. But every club has a certain philosophy and I'm not sure if it would be the right signal for Bayern if we signed him."
