Following two years of cancelled events, the quest to find Newcastle's best burger is back - and this year's event promises to be beefier than ever.
The sixth Battle of the Burger event commenced at Wylam Brewery, in Exhibition Park, on Friday and attracted plenty of people who were willing to break the Good Friday tradition of Fish and Chips in order to help search for the most superior burger in the city.
The event saw the return of reining champions Lola Jeans, as well as fan favourites Jam Jar, Brack Burger, and even Scream For Pizza, who have created their own burger. But many more vendors have also secured a place at the event which continues tomorrow, April 16 - and today they were ready to duel it out to become the king of burgers.
