A Girvan family-owned butchers has cooked up a storm - after one of their bangers was rated as one of the best in the country.

We hae meat are this week celebrating their delicious chippy-style battered sausage being named a winner in Scotmid’s Scottish Favourites competition.

Founded in 2007, We hae meat, which is run by Carlyn Paton on the family farm in Ayrshire, is the first of five Scottish businesses to be announced as a competition winner.
