The owner of a Grade I-listed mansion which appeared in the film Batman Begins has hit back at a council in a row over completing bat surveys, saying the country house’s “Batman” team have “already been on the case”.
Mentmore Towers in rural Buckinghamshire was served a listed-building repairs notice last month, urging the owners to carry out bat surveys and repair masonry.
