After a three-year break the BathLive Business Awards, sponsored by Truespeed, are set to return later this year to recognise the achievements and resilience of the local business community during the pandemic.
The event, which was not held in recent years due to Covid-19, is set to take place on Thursday, September 29, at Bath Pavilion.
BusinessLive and its sister website SomersetLive and newspaper the Bath Chronicle are looking for companies which deserve to be recognised after a challenging few years.
Since the awards were last held, a clean air zone has been introduced in the city, while Bath has also been awarded its second UNESCO World Heritage status. During the past three years here have been many Bath business success stories, as many firms emerged from lockdown restrictions.
From companies such as Lovehoney building global business empires to independent businesses such as Electric Bear Brewing confounding the odds against them to grow online sales during the pandemic, there has been much to celebrate within the Bath business community.
Businesses from across the city are now able to put themselves and their staff forward for this year’s BathLive Business Awards - in partnership with returning headline sponsor Bath-based internet service provider Truespeed.
Truespeed chief executive James Lowther said: "The BathLive Business Awards ignite a huge sense of camaraderie throughout Bath's community. Many businesses have endured a prolonged period of difficulty so it’s vital to support our fellow local businesses.
“As a Bath-based company rolling out ultrafast, full fibre broadband across the South West, we're thrilled to be supporting the awards for our third consecutive year and look forward to celebrating the multitude of Bath's inspiring businesses and incredibly talented people.”
Any public, private or third-sector organisations can enter the awards, regardless of size or industry.
The awards also reward individual talent with categories for entrepreneurs who have successfully grown their business or outstanding employees whose efforts have stood out this year.
Nominations are open until Tuesday, August 23. To find out more about how to enter or purchase tickets, please visit the event’s official website.
