Glasgow has been abuzz with the filming of Batgirl for the last few months and will bid a sad farewell to the stars as the crew wrap up the DC movie in the city.
Batgirl has become the first major film to be entirely shot in Glasgow, as reported by Glasgow World.
And main star Leslie Grace has sent her thanks and love to the people of Glasgow, as she finishes her work in the popular city.

She posted: “This is a ‘It’s our last week of shooting #batgirl and I’m getting emotionalllll’ dump. be prepared for moreeeee.
“But in advance - Scotland, thank u endlessly for welcoming us with open arms and gifting us the perfect city to create our Gotham.
“It’s not the end yet but I didn’t want to miss a moment to say thank you as I’m sitting here reflecting on all we’ve gotten to experience thanks to you. I will never forget my time here.”

Many areas of Glasgow have been entirely transformed during the film of the DC classic, including many city centre locations and disused railway tunnels.
It has been exciting for Glasgow to be at the forefront of a major film, and we will be looking out for locations in the new Batgirl movie, set to be released in December 2022.
