Barry Robson says Aberdeen were denied a "definite" penalty in their defeat at Ibrox after Connor Goldson's foul on Duk which wasn't punished by referee John Beaton.
Rangers triumphed 1-0 courtesy of Todd Cantwell's second half screamer but the Dons boss feels the outcome could've panned out much differently had the officials pointed to the spot when the scoreline was still level. The Aberdeen striker had been running towards goal when Goldson then decided to get a handful of Duk's jersey and prevent him getting a shot away just inside the box.
The match officials didn't even consult VAR and instead played on which left Robson and the away dugout perplexed. And Robson believes on another day his men could've left Glasgow with more to show from their work. He told BBC Sportsound: "Yeah I think so, we all saw the brilliant chances that we created in the game, especially the first half. We had two clear-cut one on one chances, there was a definite penalty as well first half. So that's three goals you could have had. I think Kelle had one or two good saves and then second half, I thought they scored a terrific volley but it's our fault from a set play. Apart from that, Kelle never had much to do.
"Rangers are always going to have possession with the might them and Celtic have, it's hard for other teams to come and get the lion share of possession. What you can be is organised and structured and we were that and on another day we could've come away with a few points more"
Duk spurred two gilt-edged chances as he raced through at McCrorie's goal and Robson admits he's disappointed Aberdeen weren't more clinical at times. The newly appointed gaffer made several attacking changes late on but couldn't find an all-important equaliser.
He said: "Definitely (we need to be clinical). I thought we looked a real threat at times and obviously we won the last game against them up in Aberdeen, we were a lot more aggressive there. It's a bit more difficult to be as aggressive here but we did it well at the right times and on another day we could've been two up first half.
"I know Rangers had a few chances as well, Kelle had a couple of saves but also second half, I don't think Kelle had a save to make. Rangers played around us a wee bit and I thought when we lost the goal we had a wee go at it again and probably the last 10 to 15 minutes we properly pushed to get that equaliser."
