BAFTA winner Barry Keoghan is set to star in a movie with The Weeknd and Wednesday star Jenna Ortega.
Oscar nominee Keoghan has signed up for the new film, which is being directed by Trey Edward Shults, which is currently in production.
US entertainment trade publication Deadline reports that the film is as yet untitled, and the plot is "being kept under wraps".
The film’s director Trey Edward Shults co-wrote the script with The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye.
In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2020, Tesfaye revealed that he'd been working on a screenplay when touring work dried up during the pandemic, but that's where the intel stopped. He literally said “I can’t talk about it too much yet", adding, “I really want it to be official.”
