Barry from EastEnders will come and sing for you in private - for eye-watering price

Fancy being serenaded by a soap icon? Well, for around £3,000 you can enjoy an intimate night of Barrioke.

EastEnders’ legend Shaun Williamson is touring the UK as a karaoke star but can also be booked for private gigs.

Shaun, 56, played Albert Square’s hapless Barry Evans from 1994-2004 and is promising a night of entertainment fit for the Queen Vic itself.

One fan said of a planned gig in Plymouth in May: “I’ve been waiting 10 years for this” while another “cancelled their wedding” just to attend. Tickets cost £15-£25 and are not Wellard to find – only one gig is sold out so far.

Agent Noel Cornford said: “Shaun’s first appearances were at festivals and he went down so well we decided to spread it around.

“People really enjoy themselves. There is a broad demographic and they get the irony. We’ve had quite a few wedding requests.”
