Barry Ferguson has admitted he is BAFFLED by the lack of Rangers or Celtic interest in Kevin Nisbet as he confessed: "I am taking him all day long."
The Hibs striker looks set to make the switch to the English Championship with Millwall with reports claiming a package worth around £2.5million has been agreed between the two clubs. The Scotland international has been on fire since his return from long-term injury with seven goals in seven appearances this season. He has 18 months left on his current deal and it appears the Easter Road side are ready to cash in on their key man.
A number of young players over the years have departed the Scottish Premiership for the lower millions with the likes of Lewis Ferguson, Josh Doig and Aaron Hickey all leaving for Italy. Rangers hero Ferguson can't understand why his former club are NOT in the market for Nisbet at the £2million price-bracket and admits if it was him, he would be really interested and want to do business to get a deal over the line.

Speaking on the The Go Radio Football Show, he said: 'It would be a great signing for Millwall, but it baffles me why Rangers or Celtic aren't in. I was going to say he is a risk or a gamble but he's not even that, he's good enough to play for the Old Firm.
"I am surprised there has been no contact. Listen, there is a few days left and we have seen it in the past with good young players going for a couple of million like my nephew Lewis and (Josh) Doig away to Italy as well, and (Aaron) Hickey before that.
"I like to see these young guys being kept in Scotland. I know eventually they will move to the bigger leagues but for me Kevin Nisbet at £2million I am taking him all day long.
"The biggest thing for me is it looks like he has physically matured now. He has got everything in his locker, but whether Hibs don't want to do deals with Rangers or Celtic I don't know, but if I am at Rangers I am really interested and want to try do business.
"Rangers have always had guys like Billy Dodds, Boydy (Kris Boyd), Steven Naismith, Steven Thompson and Kenny Miller. They have went and got strikers from other clubs in Scotland and brought them in, I don't know why they are not doing that."
