Barry Ferguson insists even Europa League glory wouldn't make up for the pain of losing the league title to Celtic this season.
And the Rangers hero says he'd happily trade glory in Seville next month for a second Premiership crown on the bounce.
Former captain Ferguson knows all about bringing silverware back to Ibrox having won five league titles among his 15 major honours at Ibrox.
He also captained them in a European final back in 2008 - something James Tavernier is hoping to do in May with Rangers set to take on RB Leipzig in the Europa League semis.
A formidable Euro campaign has been a lifeline for Gio van Bronckhorst as Celtic close in on the Premiership.
If he can lead Gers to Seville in May and lift the trophy it would be one of the club's greatest achievements in recent memory.
But Ferguson insists he'd still rather win the league.
The Record Sport columnist debated the issue on Go Radio with fellow pundit Mark Guidi and a caller.
It was put to him that winning the Europa League secures automatic Champions League football - and the same £40m payout that would come with winning the league.
But Ferguson wasn't having it as he said: "I've got to go for the league. I'm just giving you my honest opinion, I want to win the league.
"It's your bread and butter.
"Even now, with four or five weeks to go, I would still want the league rather than the Europa League.
"It's over 38 games, it's a longer period. You go away to places where it's difficult, coming through the winter months.
"It's just my opinion, people might be different, but I'm just saying I would rather win the league championship."
