Barrie McKay wants Hearts to put in a real performance and show that their Motherwell result was simply just a blip.
The Jambos host St Johnstone as they bid to bounce back from that Fir Park defeat last time out and get their chase for the best of the rest spot behind Celtic and Rangers back on track. The capital club hold a five point advantage over city rivals Hibs in fourth ahead of today's games with the Gorgie men looking to get back to their best form.
Robbie Neilson described that loss in the last outing as one of the worst performances of the season from his side but after some time off to reset and work hard on the training ground, McKay is determined to put things right at Tynecastle.

Speaking to the Hearts official website, he said: “That can be difficult when you play a game like Motherwell when the performance isn’t there.
“You want to just get back on the pitch straightaway to put it right, but now we’ve had some time to reset and get out on the training pitch to work on what went wrong and on things that we can get better at. We are still trying to evolve here and get better as a team.
“When you are at a club like Hearts you always have pressure on you. We as players, always put pressure on ourselves to win every game. We just need to keep going and try to win games and then see where it takes us.
“When we played St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park it was a tough game. They’ve picked up some good results recently, but it’s about us now going out and putting on a real performance to give ourselves a lift and show that the Motherwell game was just a blip.”
