Barcelona XI vs Manchester United: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Europa League today

Xavi has picked a 4-4-2 for his starting line-up as Barcelona take on Manchester United in the Europa League tonight.

A number of injury concerns limited the Catalans’ selection for the play-off second leg, with the tie poised at 2-2 following last week’s game in Spain.

Sergi Roberto comes into the XI to bolster Barcelona’s midfield while Alejandro Balde gets the nod at left-back.

Star midfield duo Pedri and Gavi are both missing through injury and suspension respectively, while Ousmane Dembele is out due to a hamstring problem.

Franck Kessie, the fit-again Sergio Busquets and Frenkie de Jong make up the midfield with Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati left on the bench. Raphinha partners Robert Lewandowski up front.

The hugely experienced Busquets missed the first leg but returned to the squad for the weekend win over Cadiz.

Barcelona XI: Ter Stegen; Kounde, Araujo, Christensen, Balde; Sergi Roberto, Busquets, De Jong, Kessie; Raphinha, Lewandowski.

Injured: Pedri, Dembele

Suspended: Gavi
