European football returns after a long break as Manchester United prepare to face Barcelona in what is billed as a heavyweight clash in the Europa League knockout play-offs. The Red Devils finished second in the group stages behind Real Sociedad while La Liga leaders dropped from the Champions League group stages.
Erik ten Hag's side travel to Catalonia with bookies Betfred pricing them at 7/2 while the Spanish giants are the favourites at 8/11 and a draw is 11/4. This will be the 14th time both sides have in European competitions and the first in the Europa League with United picking up just three wins compared Barca's six.
Xavi's side are in fantastic form right now and have only drawn once in their impressive 16-match unbeaten run in all competitions since losing 3-0 to Bayern Munich at home in their final Champions League group stage match back in October. They have seen found themselves one of the favourites to win the trophy along with Arsenal and Man United too - making this a heavyweight tie ahead of the round of 16.
