Barcelona’s interest in Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has been well documented but the La Liga leaders are also reportedly interested in a fellow teammate, too.
Silva’s father admitted earlier this season that his son and Barcelona had held discussions over a possible move before it was mutually called off. The midfielder is expected to be the subject of enquiries again in the summer although Pep Guardiola is supposedly keen to retain the playmaker’s services.
Barcelona boss Xavi is set to meet club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Jordi Cruyff to discuss transfer strategies for the future, according to Mundo Deportivo ( via Sport Witness ).

The manager is expected to circle Silva as a target as well as 32-year-old Ilkay Gundogan, whose City contract expires next summer. The German has been linked with moves to Galatasaray and Real Madrid among others.
The Spanish club’s financial situation means a January swoop would be unlikely but Xavi is wanting to sound out whether a double attack for both players could be monetarily feasible.
What seems clear is that several current Nou Camp stars would have to leave before any arrivals come in. The club is also said to realise that trying to lure both Silva and Gundogan will be tough tasks.
Meanwhile, Argentina outlet TyC Sports, as per Inside Futbol, claims City have agreed to allow 2020 signing Nahuel Bustos to leave for boyhood club Club Atletico Talleres on loan.
The 24-year-old has failed to make a single senior appearance for the Blues having been loaned out to Girona for two years before joining Sao Paulo until this January.
City bought Bustos from CA Talleres for £6m and his supposed return to the club will include a buy-out clause upon the expiration of his loan spell in the summer of 2024.
