Barcelona are reportedly interested in Manchester United target Ruben Neves.
The Mirror claims that the Reds are interested in bringing in the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder in a bid to strengthen their midfield for the long term. However, Sport reports that United will face a challenge from Barcelona for his signature.
Erik ten Hag's team spent most of the summer battling with Barca over the signing of Frenkie de Jong and having looked like they wanted to sell the 25-year-old, Xavi is now keen to keep the midfielder after Sergio Busquets announced that he would be leaving Camp Nou at the end of his contract.

Busquets' decision to leave has reportedly left the Catalan team not only wanting to keep hold of De Jong but also sign Neves to provide depth for their midfield. Elsewhere, according to Forbes, United are drawing up a plan to go in for PSV Eindhoven's Cody Gakpo this winter.
PSV have confirmed that United tried to sign Gakpo in the summer but their bid was rejected. Since then, the Dutchman has moved from strength to strength, scoring a brilliant ten goals in just 13 appearances for his club.
United's initial bid for Gakpo was rejected due to how late it was received in the transfer window, however this has not deterred the Reds who are now preparing a fresh bid in January if reports are to be believed.
