Barcelona have six deadline day transfers on the table but all rests on Ousmane Dembele

Ousmane Dembele's Barcelona exit looks set to have a big knock-on effect on other deals, as the Catalan club look to get any one of six last-minute deals over the line.

The French forward appears to be bound for Paris Saint-Germain, despite earlier links to Premier League sides Manchester United and Newcastle United, and an early resolution could lead to a very busy few hours at the end of the window.

Barcelona have already added Ferran Torres and Adama Traore to their ranks in January, while Dani Alves has been able to make his second debut after arriving on a free transfer in the autumn.

They have also offloaded a couple of squad members, including a high-profile loan exit for Philippe Coutinho, and Dembele's exit looks set to clear space for further movement.

With Dembele's contract set to run out in June, Barcelona cannot be hopeful of recouping much of the initial £97m they spent to sign him from Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

According to Sport, there is still a chance the PSG move ends up being a swap deal, with Mauro Icardi and Juan Bernat potentially being offered to Barcelona.

However, Icardi and Bernat are two of six players who could yet move to Camp Nou if Barca are able to free up some wage budget by offloading the 24-year-old this month,.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is among the more likely movers, with the Arsenal striker on the verge of a loan move, while Alvaro Morata remains a target for Barca boss Xavi.

Sport's report suggests there is a chance Aubameyang could arrive even if Dembele stays, but describes a deal for Morata as "practically impossible" unless the Frenchman is offloaded.

The Catalan club are also weighing up their options at left-back, where Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico and Alex Grimaldo of Benfica have been mooted, and a deal for Dembele to leave the club would free up funds for one of the pair.

Grimaldo is reportedly the more likely of the two, as Barca continue to seek out cover for Jordi Alba after selling Junior Firpo to Leeds United over the summer.

Barcelona got their first two January additions wrapped up before the window opened, with Alves rejoining on a free transfer and Torres moving from Manchester City.

Both players have been involved since the turn of the year, with Spain forward Torres scoring his first goal for the club in the Copa del Rey defeat to Athletic Bilbao.

Traore is waiting to make his second Barca debut after returning on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, while summer loan signing Yusuf Demir was sent back to parent club Rapid Wien.

Barcelona have already been eliminated from this season's Champions League, but their qualification for next year's edition hangs in the balance.

Xavi has helped them climb to fifth since taking over from Ronald Koeman, but they remain a point outside the top four with 17 games remaining.
