Barcelona chief turns off the spending taps for January transfer window as financial woes continue

Barcelona club president Joan Laporta has ruled out signing players in the January transfer window due to LaLiga's financial fair play rules.

Barca's accounts are “healthy” again, Laporta said on Tuesday, with an expected income this season of £1.07billion and a budgeted profit of £239million.
