Spanish giants Barcelona have met with Erling Haaland in a bid to secure a deal for the highly-sought after striker, it has been reported.
The Borussia Dortmund frontman is subject to plenty of interest having become one of the best finishers in the world while in Germany.
Liverpool are one of the clubs who have been linked with Haaland but if their interest is genuine, they will face stern competition from a number of top European rivals including Barcelona.
And according to Spanish outlet L'Esportiu, as per Diario Sport, Barca boss Xavi personally flew to Germany to engage in talks surrounding a potential summer transfer.

Haaland has a reported £63million release clause that can be activated this summer - which could spark a frenzy of bids come the end of the season.
And quotes attributed to the 21-year-old back in January claim he is interested in a move to Spain, which firmly puts Real Madrid and Barcelona as favourites to secure his signature.
“I will play here, in Spain,” Haaland said via AS
Liverpool are well stocked with forwards but with Roberto Firmino turning 31 in October, Sadio Mane turning 30 in April and Mohamed Salah in June, the Reds may turn their attention to getting younger blood up front, following the additions of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota, who are both 25.
