Community members have come together in grief and shock after an alleged attack on local MP Helen Haines that left her fighting for her life.
Dr Haines was struck on Monday afternoon outside her office in regional Victoria's Wangaratta by a four-wheel drive, which was reportedly reversed before hitting her a second time.
