Barbera Thornhill, US President Donald Trump's newly confirmed anti-trafficking ambassador, has become the subject of viral jokes and comparisons after her official portrait was released on Tuesday. The image, shared by State Department official Riley Barnes, prompted widespread attention across social platforms.

Social media users compared the photograph with older pictures, questioned its appearance and made sarcastic references to artificial intelligence. The attention followed Barnes's announcement welcoming Thornhill to her role overseeing US efforts against human trafficking.
