The Banshees of Inisherin continues to dominate awards season with 14 nods on the BAFTA long list.
The Martin McDonagh hit is heavily represented on the longlist for this year's British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA), with himself and stars Kerry Condon, Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan all in contention for shortlist nominations on 19 January. Netflix’s wartime drama “All Quiet on the Western Front’ lead with 15 longlist nods.
London-Irish filmmaker McDonagh's latest flick followed closely behind with 14 places on the longlist including Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor (Farrell), Best Supporting Actor (Gleeson and Keoghan), and Best Supporting Actress (Condon).
It comes as the Irish dark comedy topped the Golden Globes nominations ceremony last month with eight nods.

There was more joy for Irish talent elsewhere in the BAFTA longlist as Paul Mescal was included for his performance in Aftersun and Daryl McCormack for his role in Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, both in the leading actor category.
Hit Irish-language film An Cailín Ciúin (The Quiet Girl) is longlisted for Best Film Not in the English Language and writer-director, Colm Bairéad, is in contention for Best Director and Adapted Screenplay nominations for his work on the film.
Netflix hit The Wonder, which was filmed in Ireland and adapted from Emma Donoghue's book of the same name, also got a nod for adapted screenplay, whilst Northern Irish film An Irish Goodbye is longlisted for Best British Short Film.
The longlists are based on votes from the Round 1 period, which ended on December 30th
These films will now all advance to the nominating stage of voting, which will run from Friday January 6 to next Friday January 13.
The shortlist of nominees will be announced on Thursday 19 January.
The awards will take place in London on Sunday 19 February.
