The government will host a state banquet today (Thursday) to mark Her Majesty the Queen's 48th birthday celebrations.
Government spokeswoman Rachada Dhnadirek said royal permission has been granted for a ceremonial banquet in honour of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana, with proceedings scheduled for 7pm at the Santimaitri Building, Government House.
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul will preside over the event on behalf of the government.
The ceremony will be broadcast live nationwide via television and radio, allowing the public to join in offering royal well-wishes.
Invitations have been extended to a wide range of guests, including Privy Council members, former prime ministers, cabinet ministers, parliamentarians, constitutional organisations, diplomats, military and police leaders, international organisations, and representatives from the private sector and media.
The government is encouraging the public to participate and to follow the live broadcast of the event.
