VISAKHAPATNAM: The branch manager of a private bank in Dwaraka Nagar was arrested by CBI while accepting a bribe of 1.30 lakh from the complainant.
The officer, identified as Akella Srinivas Arudra, sought 2 lakh as bribe to sanction a business loan of 20 lakh to the complainant, who runs a shop in Vizianagaram.
He later reduced the bribe amount to 1.30 lakh. The complainant informed the CBI, which laid a trap and caught the manager red-handed while accepting the bribe.
