Bank holidays in July 2026: Banks to remain closed on these days in several states; check full list

As the month of July is about to begin, bank customers who are planning to visit their bank branch during the month should keep an eye on the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) bank holiday calendar. Apart from usual weekend holidays, banks in several states will remain closed on different days in July due to regional festivals, cultural events and commemorative occasions. Since these holidays vary from state to state, it is advisable to check whether your local bank branch will be open or closed on a particular day before you plan any important banking work.

Banks are closed in Mizoram on July 6 on Mizo Hmeichhe Insuihkhawm Pawl (MHIP) Day. The MHIP is the state's largest women's welfare organisation.
