Friends and family will pay tribute to Jamie Cannon with a balloon release in his memory next weekend.
Loved ones have scheduled a memorial event for the tragic Ayrshire teen who was found dead last Saturday after being missing for almost nine months.
Police confirmed on Friday that the body found in the Ardeer area of Stevenston was identified as Jamie.
The balloon release tribute will take place at Auchenharvie Golf Course on Sunday, March 13 at 1pm.
Almost £4,000 has been raised for Jamie's funeral.
Jamie's mum, Lynn, wrote on on her son's fundraising page: "It is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes as I write this, sadly Jamie was found on February 26, 2022.
"Not the outcome we all hoped for, the family would like to thank each and every single person for their support over the last 9 months and the continued support you are all giving them now too.
