Baldur's Gate 3 provided "a lot of inspiration" for CD Projekt Red, but The Witcher 4 devs are sticking to their own RPG formula: "We definitely are not going to make a game like Larian did"

The Witcher 4.

Although Baldur's Gate 3 arguably reshaped the future of the RPG genre as a whole with its monumental 2023 launch, the inspiration Larian Studios' work had on other developers isn't a sign that all new games will be similar to it or draw from its formula.

Plenty of other RPGs, after all, are known for their devs' own unique flair – and CD Projekt Red's titles, both released and upcoming, are certainly no exception.
