A bakery, a post office, a restaurant, and a coffee shop or café, are the top businesses that should be found on the ideal high street, a study has revealed.
A poll of 2,000 adults found that almost four in five (78%) would like to see the resurgence of their local high street – which should also feature a bookshop, a pub, and a butchers shop.
Nearly half of Brits (43%) admit they shop on their local high street just once a month or less – with almost a third (31%) saying they have seen a significant decline on their high street in recent years.
