Bajaj Auto's systems hit by ransomware attack

Bajaj Auto on Tuesday disclosed that it was hit by a ransomware attack that affected the systems of the company and its wholly owned subsidiary, Bajaj Auto Technology Ltd (BATL), prompting an immediate response from its technical teams and cybersecurity experts.

In a regulatory filing, the automaker said the cyber security incident occurred at around 8 am IST on June 23. The company said it promptly initiated precautionary measures and response protocols to contain the attack and mitigate its impact.
