A student at Bainbridge Elementary School in the Elizabethtown Area School District reportedly tested positive for measles on Wednesday, according to CBS 21 WHP. The station did not say who confirmed the case. As of Thursday, neither the district nor the Pennsylvania Department of Health had posted a public notice about the school.
The report comes as Lancaster County's outbreak reached 401 confirmed cases, almost 40% of Pennsylvania's 1,078, with 207 people hospitalized statewide, according to state figures cited by CBS 21 on Oct. 7. Five Pennsylvanians have died of measles-associated illness this year. All five were unvaccinated.
