Sunderland centre-back Bailey Wright had to be isolated and flown to Wembley by helicopter after falling ill this week.
The 29-year-old Australian played the full play-off final at Wembley, which Sunderland won 2-0. The result means that Sunderland will return to the Championship after four seasons in League One.
However, it turns out it was touch and go Bailey Wright, who helped Sunderland protect a 1-0 lead for much of the match. Being interviewed on Sky Sports, Wright said he almost did not make the fixture.
