Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates congratulated on Wednesday Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on being named prime minister.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz made the announcement in a Royal Decree on Tuesday.
In a cable, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa wished Crown Prince Mohammed success as he forges ahead in his efforts to serve Saudi Arabia and its people and achieve more accomplishments, progress and prosperity under the prudent leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Moreover, he underscored the solid and distinguished historical relations that bind Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, their leaderships and peoples.
Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa sent a similar cable to his Saudi counterpart, hailing the longstanding relations between their kingdoms and peoples, as well as the importance of furthering bilateral cooperation and coordination at various levels.
UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also sent cables of congratulations.
