A generation of young royals has not been invited to tomorrow's Coronation - even though they attended previous events.
The grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth's cousins will not be at Westminster Abbey on Saturday - and it has been claimed that some of them are "furious" at the snub.
The royals, who include Lady Amelia Windsor and the King's godson Lord Nicholas Windsor, were invited to other state occasions but they were not included in the guest list for the Coronation.
Zenouska Mowatt, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth's cousin Princess Alexandra, said she was not invited but will watch the event on television from home.
The 32-year-old was on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at Trooping the Colour in 2019 and was close to the Queen, with the pair being photographed together at Windsor Castle in March last year.
Friends of some younger royals claimed they are not happy at being left out of the Coronation as one told the Daily Mail: "They can't understand why they haven't been invited when they were invited to every other state occasion."
The Duke of Rutland also said he has not been invited and added he did "not really understand" why.
He added: "It has been families like mine that have supported the Royal Family over 1,000 years or thereabouts."
The publication reported that the granddaughters of the Duke of Kent, Lady Amelia Windsor and her sister Lady Marina Windsor, will also miss the Coronation.
About 2,000 people are expected to pack into Westminster Abbey on May 6 for the Coronation.
Supporting Charles and Queen Camilla will be all of the working royals including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children Prince George - who will be a page of honour - Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Others there will include Prince Edward and Sophie - the new Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh - Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of York and Princess Alexandra.
After months of speculation, it has now been confirmed that Prince Harry will also be at the Coronation - although his wife Meghan Markle will stay behind in California with their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
There will also be foreign royals including King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco and King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, who will be accompanied by his daughter Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.
The guestlist also includes Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and former living PMs - Liz Truss, Boris Johnson, Theresa May, David Cameron, Gordon Brown, Tony Blair and John Major.
World leaders at the event include the Polish President Andrzej Duda as well as all EU Presidents Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola and Charles Michel. president of the European Council.
However, one big absentee will be US president Joe Biden, who has announced he will not be there but his wife and US First Lady Jill Biden will represent him.
