Backlash mounts as Glasgow waives affordable housing rules for developers

A COUNCIL decision to waive affordable housing requirements for private new-build developments in Glasgow has been branded "shameful" by a tenants' union.

Last week, the Glasgow City Council (GCC) announced that affordable housing would not be required for new projects, citing a study which found "viability challenges" for private developers.
