Baby saves mum's life by arriving 12 weeks early as doctors discover tumour just in time

A newborn baby who arrived 12 weeks early helped save her mum 's life as doctors uncovered a cancerous tumour.

If Harriet Elson, 32, had given birth on her planned due date, doctors said it "might have been too late".

The mum-of-three was diagnosed after visiting her daughter, Maddison Wilmshurst-Smith, in the ICU at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, Essex.
