A baby found alone in a buggy was handed in to gardai in Dublin.
The child, believed to be a few months old, was discovered by a woman walking by near the Mater Hospital shortly before 10pm on Monday night. The woman waited for around an hour for a parent or a guardian to return but in vain.
She brought the child to Mountjoy Garda Station when nobody come to collect the baby. The child was then handed to the gardai.
