A baby and a teenager were rushed to hospital after a three car crash in Birkenhead town centre.
Nearby residents described a sound like "an explosion" after the crash in Borough Road, outside the Pyramids shopping centre, on Tuesday evening. Emergency services rushed to the scene and cordoned off the road from the Birkenhead tunnel flyover while they dealt with the incident.

Two of the cars involved in the crash were a red private hire vehicle and a white Audi, which ended up on its roof.
Pictures taken at the scene showed significant damage to the private hire vehicle. It is understood both cars crashed into railings on the dual carriageway stretch of road.
One resident described the impact of the crash as sounding "like an explosion," adding: "The white Audi was on its roof before the emergency services flipped it back. The boot of the red taxi was open and showed the baby's pram and shopping that spilt out after the collision with the railings."
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) said: "We were called at 7.33pm to an RTC involving three cars. We took two patients to hospital, one had a minor head injury."
They confirmed those taken to hospital were an 18-year-old man and a baby.
