Babestation stars strip to bikinis for protest at animal testing lab

Babestation host Stella Paris is leading a 'bikini protest' against animal testing on beagles. Paris, 36, is joining protesters from Camp Beagle in Wyton, Huntingdonshire, to protest against test-animal breeding company MBR Acres.

The group say that they hope the bikini protest, which includes several other stars from the Babestation adult chat TV channel, will raise awareness for their cause. Babestation stars April Mae, Lucia Marie, Roxy Winters, Zoe Grey, Taya Bunny and Amber Paige also intend to take part in the protest.

Camp Beagle have been protesting outside the MBR Acres site at Wyton for two years, aiming to cut Government funding for the company. Paris, a former radiographer who runs a vegan restaurant, heard about Camp Beagle's work after meeting group spokesperson John at a cacao 'sacred circle' ceremony.

John Curtin, 60, said: "We've been up here for two years, but we're hoping today's protest will bring us some broader attention for our work and our cause. It all started in a very Camp Beagle way, after we found Miss Paris at a cacao ceremony and invited her to come and visit the site.

"She was so blown away by what we've been doing - she said she just couldn't believe what MBR Acres are doing, and offered to help. She was working on the night shift of babestation that evening, so she said she would tell the other girls on the show about our work.

"That's how this all got started. Now her and the others are coming down to take part. She runs a vegan restaurant and we all agree it's an important cause - changing Government policy to stop funding these barbaric animal testing sites.

"It feels like something everyone assumed ended in the 1970's, but they still breed beagle puppies and other animals here for testing. We'll be helping Stella and her friends as much as we can with coffee and tea while they perform their bikini protest, and we really hope it'll encourage others to do so too.

"It's vital that we get the word out, and we're hoping to raise 100,000 signatures on a petition to end funding for companies like this. If we can get 100,000 signatures, they will have to debate the issue in Parliament."

MBR Acres breed animals and supplies dogs to licensed laboratories or businesses for the purpose of research and animal testing. The company says it is 'dedicated to maintaining high standards of animal welfare'.
