NEW DELHI: Legendary baseball player Babe Ruth's iconic 'called shot' jersey is set to break records at auction and is expected to fetch a whopping 30 million dollars later this month.
Ruth wore the jersey during Game 3 of the 1932 World Series where he came up with the famous 'called shot' against the Chicago Cubs.
In the game, Ruth, also known as the great bambino, famously pointed towards the outfield and then hit the next pitch for a home run in the same direction.
The iconic shot later came to be known as the 'called shot'.
At the auction, Ruth's jersey is set to collect around $30 million which will break Michael Jordan's memorabilia record of $10 million.
Currently, Jordan's 1998 Bulls jersey is the most expensive memorabilia.
Ruth won 7 world series titles and hit 714 home runs during his glittering career.
The only time the jersey was previously sold was 20 years ago and fetched 975,000 dollars.
Ruth's iconic 'called shot' has been recreated multiple times in Hollywood movies.
