Baba Vanga predictions: Two of blind mystic's prophecies that came true in 2022

Blind clairvoyant Baba Vanga claimed to have visions predicting the future after she lost her sight as a child.

The mystic's eyes were injured during a deadly sand storm that swept across her homeland in Bulgaria.

Nicknamed the ' Nostradamus of the Balkans', her prophecies are said include the Chernobyl tragedy, the death of Princess Diana, and the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Baba Vanga died in 1996 at the age of 84 and despite her death, her prophecies live on with her predictions running all the way to the year 5079.

Baba Vanga made a series of predictions for 2023, ranging from drastic weather conditions to another global pandemic.

However, only a few of her prophecies came true this year.

Floods

The blind mystic foresaw a huge flood taking place in 2022, and that prediction actually came true.

She predicted that Australia and areas of Asia would be hit with "intense bouts of floods."

In March 2022, Australia declared a national emergency due to a series of floods in the eastern region of the country.

The country also saw more floods in October and November, with 17 flood warnings in New South Wales (eight of them being in the major flood category) alone last month.

Elsewhere, Pakistan has experienced record-breaking floods between June and October this year, affecting 33 million people in the country, according to Red Cross.

Droughts

While many countries experienced intense floods this year, others experienced severe droughts which was another correct prediction by Baba Vanga.

The mystic predicted that large cities around the world would be hit by significant droughts, causing a drastic water shortage.

Over the summer, England saw one of its toughest droughts yet, with the Met Office revealing that the country had just 56 per cent (46.3mm) of its average rainfall in July.

The lack of rainfall meant that this was the driest July in England since 1935.

On August 12, the scorching heatwave caused the government to declare drought status in parts of the South East, Central, and East of England.

This meant that millions of households were placed on a hosepipe ban in an effort to conserve water.

Elsewhere, other countries including France, Italy, and Portugal saw record-breaking droughts this year, with some even experiencing wildfires due to the dry weather.

Baba Vanga predictions that did not come true in 2022

While there are still a few days left until the end of 2022, some of Baba Vanga's predictions are yet to come true this year.

According to the blind mystic, another pandemic - much like Covid-19 - was set to take place in 2022.

She predicted that the pandemic would be caused by a frozen virus in Siberia.

Another vision saw Baba Vanga claim that there would be a famine in India this year caused by a fall in temperature, where locusts will attack the crops.

She also predicted that aliens would invade the planet in 2022 by sending an asteroid to seek out life on Earth.
