British Airways, TUI and easyJet are all hiring flight attendants, but you need to meet stringent requirements to start flying.
While it may not have quite the same glamourous reputation as it did in the 1950s, being part of a cabin crew is a great way to see the world and meet people.
Currently three of the UK's biggest airlines are hiring flight attendants, giving you the opportunity to fly to hundreds of destinations the globe over.
As airports and aviation companies continue to recover from the coronavirus pandemic, they are trying to build up their staff rosters as much as possible.
TUI alone is looking for 300 new recruits, so there's a great chance you'll be able to land a spot if you're able to jump through all the hoops.
British Airways
"From Barbados to Berlin, British Airways cabin crew access more cities than any other airline," the UK's flag carrier claims.
Crew earn a basic salary of £18,169, with that figure potentially bumped up to £28,000 a year with flying/duty pay and a tax-free subsistence allowance.
Flight attendants get staff travel benefits from day one, which include discounted tickets, and standby tickets.
The latter allows staff members to take a chance of bagging an untaken seat on BA flights, potentially allowing them to fly in business class for a fraction of the price.
Applications are now open, and assessments are currently taking place. You'll take to the skies from early 2023 onward if successful.
You must be between 1.57m and 2.01m tall to be accepted, and have no visible tattoos. Only one set of small round earrings are allowed when it comes to piercings.
TUI
The German travel company is recruiting cabin crew until the end of January.
The airline operates to 79 destinations in 33 countries with more than 68 aircraft, meaning there's a great chance for you to see the world.
The tour operator airline has roles open in 13 airport bases across the UK and Ireland including Bristol, Stansted, Gatwick, Birmingham and Aberdeen.
The salary is not listed online and wasn't provided by the company when contacted, but Glassdoor suggests the average salary is £22,000 for cabin crew.
To apply you must be able to reach to a minimum height of 6’2” (1.88m) (without shoes on and feet flat on the floor), speak and write fluent English, and be able to swim 25m, among several other requirements.
easyJet
The budget airline is currently recruiting staff at its Edinburgh, Liverpool, Gatwick, Belfast Luton and Manchester bases, although how many jobs are going is unclear.
You must be between 157.5 cm and 190cm without shoes to apply, be fluent in written and spoken English, and have no visible tattoos on your head, face and neck or any tattoos that are deemed offensive or inappropriate that can’t be covered discreetly.
Being confident in a customer-facing role is require, as is at least three months experience in a customer or people facing role
You must also be able to fit into an aircraft jump seat harness which measures 106cm across the lap and 157cm from shoulder to waist.
The Gatwick role currently pays £22,000 as well as commission.
