B&Q is open 7am-8pm on Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays- the hours will be the same this weekend.

Homebase - which has a store in Portishead - said: "There’ll be no changes to our opening hours this bank holiday weekend."

Screwfix - which has branches in Clifton, Bedminster and St George, among others - stores open as normal on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29. Most shops open 7am until 8pm, Monday to Friday, 7am until 6pm on Saturdays, and 9am until 4pm on Sundays.
