Shoppers at B&M can get their hands on a £1 item which some believe could knock £60 a year off energy bills. One shopper at the national chain spotted the bargain and shared it online.
As the cold weather continues and energy prices rise, people are looking for ways to be more energy efficient. Vin Nagamootoo, Shell Energy's head of energy product, said that a door draft excluder is a particularly effective measure, the Manchester Evening News reports.
He said: "A door draft excluder is an effective way to hold back the cold air, and draught excluder tape, available in all DIY stores, is a cheap fix for any small gaps that need filling."

Mr Nagamootoo added that the easiest and cheapest way to do this is to put a large rug on your floor. Shoppers online have now expressed their amazement at the fact that such rugs can be purchased for just £1 at B&M.
Kylie Heeks said: "I get so jealous of these bargains." Lorraine Kafanke said: "No way that’s ace… I got a bargain for my new bedroom yesterday £20 lamp I wanted it last year but was out of stock." Louise Banister said: "[That would] go nice in the bedroom!"
