B&M shoppers divided over festive flavoured gin that is 'a step too far'

B&M has managed to divide Christmas shoppers with a brand new festive-flavoured bottle of gin that has some of them wondering if it is "a step too far."

The popular budget chain took to social media to share it is now stocking Whitley Neill's new festive edition gin and it is meant to taste like mince pies.

With notes of raisins, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg, Whitley Neill promises a festive tipple that will taste exactly like eating one of those delicious pastries.

And, while we all love a mince pie and a glass of gin, many shoppers can't seem to figure out if the mince pie flavoured gin is something that they would be eager to try out at any Christmas parties this year.

Sharing the snap to their 1.4 million dedicated followers on Instagram, B&M wrote: "We don't need an excuse to try out a new flavoured gin - but it does help if it's festive!

"We took this bottle home with us (after paying, of course) and tried it... it tastes incredible! It definitely gets our seal of approval, and you don't even need too much tonic with it!

"Who fancies giving this a shot?!"

And, hundreds of shoppers were quick to flock to the comments section to tag their friends and family, with their being a clear divide on whether some would try it or not.

"Not sure how I feel about this…..but it’s Whitley Neil so should be good", commented one shopper.

"I’d be curious trying this", replied a second.

"I draw the line here", wrote a third.

"It’s either gonna be amazing or bloody vile", agreed a fourth.

"Step too far?", asked a fifth.

However, there were those among them who were more complimentary about the gin, and even commented how they "needed" to get their hands on it.

"Needs this in it's Christmas line up", commented one excited shopper.

"I hope this is added to your tasting this year", agreed a second.
