B&M shoppers ask 'are you kidding me?' over new product arriving in stores

Shoppers have been left bewildered after B&M announced a new product was hitting the shelves - a bit earlier than some would like.

The supermarket chain revealed that customers could grab a Milky Bar Mini Eggs bar for £1.25, despite the fact that Easter is more than four months away. In 2023, Easter will fall on April 9 and many Brits would probably expect to begin seeing Easter-themed products in stores throughout the early spring.

Right now, many stores are likely clearing up all their leftover Christmas selection boxes, but some have been spotted getting their Easter chocolates and eggs out a bit far too early. In fact, some customers entered stores on Boxing Day only to be greeted by rows of chocolate bunnies.

Announcing the product on social media, B&M posted: "Grab this tasty Milky Bar Mini Eggs bar in stores now for just £1.25!!! It's NEVER too early for Mini Eggs...am I right?!"

Many people on social media were quick to point out that it seemed far too early for the store to be announcing any Easter-themed confectionaries.

One user on Instagram commented: "Woah woah woah...calm down! Our Christmas trees are still up! (Though this does look good)." Another wrote: "Far to bloody early!!!"

A third added: "Seriously...what happened to 5 days before and 6 days after" While another commented: "Stupid idiot shop. They take everything down 1 week before Christmas. Easter is like 3 months away. It's not even new years".

However, not everyone disapproved the announcement, with one user commenting: "Oh my god I neeeeed this." While another tagged their friend and added: "If you see this, pleaseee grab me one for Easter."

A third user commented: "I NEED this. Just maybe not yet."

B&M is not the only supermarket to be caught out selling Easter products before the year is even done. On Boxing Day, many shoppers at Tesco, Morrisons, and Co-op were shocked to see shelves packed with Easter eggs.
