Everyone knows B&M is one of the places to be for any bargain buys, but one shopper has sparked a heated debate after snapping up an Instax camera for much less.
The savvy shopper took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook where she shared she picked up the popular camera for just £5 from B&M.
Instax cameras became hugely popular among shoppers looking for ways to remember their memories a few years ago and they have regularly priced at anywhere between £70 - £120.
Sharing the incredible bargain purchase to the popular money-saving Facebook page, the shopper shared a snap of their Yellow Instax Mini 9 camera. The instant polaroid camera features a stylish design and lets you instantly snap memorable moments.
Their post read: "Best bargain I’ve gotten in a long time!! My favourite colour is yellow so I was instantly drawn to it and asked the lady on the counter to price check for me!! Couldn’t be happier.
"£5 in B&M".
And while quite a few shoppers have raved about the "excellent bargain", others are not convinced it is really that much of a bargain for one reason - the cost of refills.
Quite a few shoppers commented the prices for adding in new films to the camera are what makes the polaroid snapper much more "expensive" than it really is.
"They’re ok but the replacement camera films are colossal in price!", said one shopper.
"Yeah.... Wait till you have to buy the refills. Great bargain for the actual camera but it's the refills that get you haha", agreed a second shopper.
"Fab bargain, until you need a refill for printing the pictures xx", said a third.
However, one shopper defended the product price and said: "Argos for 50 shots it’s £30 or something which isn’t as bad at £14.99 for 10."
Another user defended the buy after one shopper asked how many refills it comes with: "They're £100 normally so for £5 just get it".
While a third shopper said: "Don’t the pics work out at like £1 a shot? I’d be bankrupt!"
In an updated comment under her own post, the shopper said that she was "over the moon" with her purchase and that she wanted to share the purchase because of "how expensive" they really are.
When we had a look online, we could not find the Instax Mini 9 Camera on the B&M website, but a few shoppers mentioned that they seen it in their local store.
The Daily Record has approached B&M stores for a comment on the camera.
