US President Donald Trump on Wednesday welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, marking the start of Xi’s three-day state visit for US-China summit.

During the ceremonial welcome, two US Air Force B-1 bombers flew overhead as part of the military honours. Trump’s reaction to the powerful roar caught attention on camera, with the US president visibly wincing as the bombers passed over the airbase.

Trump and Xi were standing side by side on the tarmac when the aircraft flew overhead. Xi, standing beside him, appeared to maintain a composed expression and showed no similarly visible reaction.
