A hotel near Bristol has been named the UK’s Best Boutique Spa in the coveted Good Spa Awards 2022. The venues are shortlisted by the Good Spa Guide and then voted for by the public.
Designed as a ‘haven for the senses’, the spa at the Aztec Hotel at Almondsbury is described as ‘a serene space for those wishing to be transported to an oasis of calm, with the newly opened Relax Lounge adding another level of indulgence’.
The Good Spa Awards judges highlighted the Aztec Hotel Spa’s newly refurbished contemporary spa complete with its spacious relaxation suite, suntrap garden terrace and treatments from vinotherapie brand, Caudalie.

In the hotel’s new Relax Lounge, guests are invited to retire to the comfort of new lounge beds after their treatment, or to enjoy a manicure or pedicure at the new stations, created for maximum relaxation. The Aztec team recommend guests take time out to unwind after their treatments, to ensure they get the maximum benefits from the oils.
While in The Relax Lounge, guests can sample herbal teas, infused waters and tasty treats, with cocktails and fizz available for those in search of serious pampering.
Guests can also enjoy the sauna, hot tub, steam room, spa pool and swimming pool. There are a number of Caudalie spa treatments, using natural ingredients from the vines and grapes.

There are four treatment rooms at the spa, each designed for maximum relaxation, with a bespoke nail station. For those who have booked a treatment, an online consultation will be sent to before arrival, helping to guide the therapist when tailoring the treatment so it can be bespoke to the individual’s lifestyle, stress levels, any skin issues and previous treatments.
Aztec Hotel & Spa has just launched a new spa day available from September. Called ‘A Taste of Autumn Spa Day’, it runs Monday to Friday and costs £90, with a £10 supplement on Saturday and Sunday.
The new spa day included three hours of relaxation in the pool and thermal experiences, a 25-minute shoulder and scalp massage, afternoon tea and free gift to take home.
