An Ayrshire community council group is facing a stiff financial penalty - if its village skip continues to be used for dumping illegal waste.
Ballantrae Community Council has issued a warning to locals who use the community skip - after a quantity of asbestos and tyres were found in the last batch of waste.
Building material asbestos has been banned in the UK since the mid 1980s after a link was discovered between its airborne particles and some cancers.
